Content in this section, from posters and logos to book covers and infographics, was produced using Canva templates or by combining Canva graphics. I love the simplicity, ease, quality, and speed of designing using programs like Canva and Pixlr. 

The original windspinner patterns below were created using a variety of techniques in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

The TikTok (below, top center) featuring a beaver working on ts home was created in Adobe Express using AI for a UW-Whitewater social media class in alliance with Protect Wisconsin Waterways.

When I started as the Fort Atkinson Tourism and Marketing Manager, there was not a website or any social media accounts specifically geared towards promoting Fort Atkinson as a tourism destination. While my role was within the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce, it was important to differentiate between the content local Chamber followers would be interested in vs. the content a visitor to the area would like to see. I created the website explorefortatkinson.com (which can also be reached at exploreort.com), logo, social media accounts, large-scale event infographic, and other branded materials highlight news, history, events, and attractions that would interstate tourists.

Along with highlighting Fort's history and charm, I worked hard to promote its outdoor amenities like nearby Lake Koshkonong, the Rock River and downtown riverwalk, and the community's bike-friendliness.. With the Glacial River Bike Trail passing through town, Tour de Fort bike ride and Tour da Goose bike ride,  area youth mountain biking group,Two Rivers Outdoor bike shop, and other biking draws (not to mention Fort's proximity to Madison, which is one of the most bike-friendly cities in America!) it made sense to play up these aspects of the community and make them an integral part of the Fort Atkinson brand.

Whether I'm writing press releases, blogs, social media content, or books, I strive to create clean, clear copy. Along with my own novels and how-to books, I've helped other authors edit, proofread, and publish their own works. I've also written articles for both my own blogs and newsletters and professional blogs and newsletters for years.

I never met a house I didn't want to fix up. That goes for dollhouses, too. Here are some of my staging and interior design projects, big and small.
